Fabulous for small-space kitchens, galley kitchens and busy kitchens alike, this in-cupboard knife block is a great way to keep knives close at hand without having them out on display, and it comes with a selection of the most usefully sized knives for keen cooks.

With in-cupboard storage block

Ideal for mounting in narrow spaces, and with no need for any tools, the DoorStore rack is backed with immensely strong VHB adhesive tape from the sticky-stuff experts at 3M. Just find a smooth, clean surface, peel the backing tape off the adhesive panels and press the rack firmly into place… Instantly you have a bespoke knife block that will protect the blades from being chipped by other utensils and keep fingers safe when the family are rummaging to find things in your kitchen drawers.

4-piece set comprises:

• Paring knife 9cm blade (3½”) – with yellow collar
• Serrated utility knife 11cm blade (4½”) – with pale green collar
• Santoku knife 12.5cm blade (5″) – with dark green collar
• Chef’s knife 15cm blade (6″) – with duck egg blue collar

Colour-coded ergonomic handle

Each knife has a coloured collar to help you find the right blade for a job when you’re in a hurry, and the colours coordinate with other sets in the Joseph Joseph Opal Elevate and Nest ranges. Not just comfortable to use, the ergonomic handles hide a weighted steel core, so no matter how much stickiness there is on the business end of the knife blade, the weight of the handle will keep the tip raised and the worktop hygienically clean.

Integral tool rest

Designed specifically to improve hygiene and minimise mess, Elevate knives won’t dirty your worktop when you pop them down mid-task thanks to the integral tool rest that ensures the head of the knife is always raised above the work surface, reducing the risk of transferring germs from worktop to pot.

Please note: the raised heads of Elevate tools will not touch your work surface while at rest, but this does not prevent drips that may stain the countertop if you’re using strongly coloured ingredients.
